Conservation + Preservation = Regenerative Travel

Positive exchange is at the heart of what we do. Whether that's through sustainable, philanthropic, or regenerative opportunities, we find that guests become better aligned with community values and more engaged in the islands by interacting with our local partners. So whether you choose to roll up your sleeves and plant native flora alongside a passionate biologist reforesting a Hawaiian hillside or clear invasives from an 800-year old fishpond that fed thousands, we strive to create a positive experience. Doing good comes in many forms of adventure, from diving with sharks to further conservation to sailing lessons aboard a rare, historic tall ship that supports youth programs, and touring the islands with our carbon off-setting helicopter partner. Provisioning through our local farmers and ranchers is always first when possible.

Work and Learn in the Hawaiian Islands

The Coconut Traveler has a number of remote working and distance learning resorts and villas. We'll work with you to generate learning-based activities for the kids such as bringing in an astronomy expert to focus telescopes on the stars and planets to delight your budding scientist, and the whole family. Or, set you up in a quiet space for business meetings and calls. Contact us for properties that will meet your new normal needs.

The Ranch of the 1920s

While Hawaii is known for sun and fun, there's a ranch we need to tell you about. Located on the North Shore of Oahu sits a 2700-acre ranch where a family built an 8-bedroom residence to escape Honolulu. We've built in a few things to do, added bicycles, and some water toys. If you've had enough of your town, come and get away from it all at the Ranch. Through September 1st, Hawaii has a two-week quarantine in place, but we can't think of a better place to hideaway. Teepees, a movie tent, bamboo poles, and a lake, and so much more. Learn more about our offer, The Un-Quarantine.
