Successful Giving Tuesday 2022

Updated: Jun 14, 2023

A photo representing the Hawaiian Giving Tuesday

We are grateful to work with tourism industry professionals and welcome travelers who understand the value of paying it forward in support of this place they love to visit. On Giving Tuesday, we donated $51,786 to five Hawaii-based volunteer organizations. The money was collected through our Responsible Tourism Fee.

Two organizations received donations again this year, Hawaii Association of Watershed Partnerships and Malama i na Honu, and we added three new, women-led organizations in 2022, Aloha Tree Alliance, Conservation Dogs of Hawaii, and Hawaii Wildlife Center. Each organization received a check for $10,357.20. They were selected for their thoughtful, impactful goals, and demonstrable achievements. Plus, they're just great people who do so much for the community.

We hope you'll take the time to visit their websites and consider supporting their work. With their efforts, Hawaii's reefs, trails, and environment have the support needed to balance the volume of visitors who come to the Hawaiian Islands to experience the beauty firsthand.

Visit. Experience. Give and Restore.
