The designers were inspired by the property’s perfect orientation to the sandy beach and blue Pacific on the front elevation and the graceful green West Maui Mountains to the rear. The home was designed to highlight Maui`s beauty, rather than make a statement of her own. Maui’s signature trade winds are welcomed through the 30-foot doors, which open at both ends of the great hall. The living space is not circumscribed by walls, extending naturally out towards the tropical courtyard reaching to the mountains on one side, and to the sea on the other.
